Echo Therapeutics (ECTE) shares were down more than 23% in early trading Friday after the company reported its Q1 net loss widened.
Echo’s net loss for Q1 2014 was $2.8 million compared to $7.0 million, or $1.30 per share, for Q1 2013. The operating loss for Q1 2014 was $2.7 million compared to $5.5 million for Q1 2013.
On a per share basis the loss was $0.23 per share compared with $1.30 per share.
Analyst estimates were not available.
ECTE trades in a 52-week range of $1.84 to $6.10.
