Man shots himself in front of the Fox Television building from Manhattan New York. Apparently, the man, who used to work for the tv station, had been unhappy for a while about the way the company and colleagues treated him and decided to protest against them.
Former employee for the Texas station of Fox television, committed suicide, in front of the New York headquarters of News Corporation, the main company owning the Fox Network and Fox News, declared police officials. The victim was pronounced dead after being taken to a Manhattan hospital.
The man, who shot himself was identified under the name of Philip Perea, of 41 years old. He fired one time, and the bullet hit his chest deadly, around 9 a.m. this morning, as News Corporation and 21st Century Fox workers were entering the building heading to work.
According to witness reports, the man had been seen earlier in the morning, handing out fliers on which it was written that the company ended his career, stated the Wall Street Journal.
For now, nobody knows why was the victim upset about, but police officials stated that at the murder scene, situate on the Sixth Avenue, one of Manhattans most busiest districts, there have been found both the murder weapon and a suicide note.
A spokesperson from the New York police declared that around 9 a.m., a male had been found with a gun wound in his chest and a small caliber gun was lying next to his body. He was immediately transported to the Bellevue Hospital, were there was nothing to be done and he was pronounced dead.
It seems that the victim had actually worked for Fox News at the local channel in Austin, Texas. Before committing suicide, Philip Perea had posted an angry tweet, on his social media page, addressed to Fox and to that he added a Youtube video, where he had posted an eight minute video talking about what ha dade him unhappy.
In the video he posted in Youtube, the general manager of the station, named only Mike, was telling him that for some reasons, his colleagues had started to be afraid of him and added that, somehow he was making people feel uncomfortable and feel fear when they would see him.
This morning, the access to the Manhattan headquarters had been restricted, as police was investigating under what circumstances, happened the suicide.
