Hulu’s dedicated app is now available on the Windows 10 platform too. This week, Hulu released a universal MS Windows 10 application for tablets, mobile phones and desktops, with assistance for the Cortana virtual assistant. People who are interested in the app can get the latest edition now from Microsoft’s Windows Store.
In fact, the software was already offered on the company’s’ newest operating system. There was the Windows 8 app for tablets and desktops that was compatible with all Windows 10 computer systems and also a mobile application that was able to run on smart phones with Windows 10 Mobile.
These days’ launch is an individual application that works on mobile phones, PCs and tablets too. If you get the app from the MS Windows Store (and upgrade to the newest edition), you will have the same application, but it can adjust the user interface according to your gadget’s characteristics.
That being said, the service is only provided to United States users, as opposed to Netflix, with a large client base, Hulu is restricted only to North America and Japan). Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform also extends to its Xbox One gaming console, but Hulu did not add assistance for the device in this launch, as the company’s representatives told tech media.
Hulu was already offered for the Xbox systems, but because Cortana’s vocal instructions have not yet been modified for third-party applications on Microsoft’s gaming console, so there were no reasons to add Xbox One assistance for now.
Within the new application, you can get around in a simple way by inserting the names of your favorite shows or just of particular episodes. Even if your application has not started yet, you can utilize Cortana’s helping features to activate particular option of the program.
For instance, you can use the main “Hey Cortana” vocal command followed by other instructions for searching and playing various media content. This type of commands will likely be your most used ones and if you have not watched yet a particular show or episode in Hulu, the application will release and instantly start playing the respective material.
If it is a TV series that you have already began watching, the application will automatically start playing from the previous time, across all of the gadgets you have the service set up on. Not just can you place the Hulu application to the phone’s start menu, but also you can pin separate documentaries and shows.
Its Live Tiles assistance means that the app’s tile can show new media content and provide suggestions for next time. The application’s creators timed the launch of their new software with the debut of the Hulu show.
Since the app for Xbox One did not get an upgrade, Hulu is trying to entice the console’s users with the first episode of the show called “Rabbit Hole”“The Bunny Gap that is freely available to all non-Hulu members these days only.
