Riot Games, the creator of the MOBA sensation League of Legends just decided to expand its line of products. The company is currently developing a League of Legends inspired board game that will offer unlimited amounts of fun to 2 to 4 players.
Mechs Vs. Minions is the first board game project initiated by the studio. The game features all of the elements specific to a board game, including a modular board, miniatures, a sand timer, dice, quest cards, and a compelling storyline.
Moreover, the designers decided to treat players with a mystery box containing an unknown object that could seal the faith of the participants.
According to Chris Cantrell, one of the producers of Mechs Vs. Minions, the mystery gift, is by far the most expensive object in the box. He was also keen on mentioning that players should abstain themselves from opening the chest until the game instructions tell them to do so, otherwise the surprise could be ruined.
Even though the mystery piece is gathering a lot of attention, the producers were not keen on making it the center of the ongoing marketing campaign so it could either be a nice surprise that makes the game more challenging, or the focus of the entire match, but they decided not to spoil the fun of the players.
Luckily, those of you who wish to enter the world of Mechs Vs. Minions will be able to do just so on October 13th when it will be available for sale. The game will be sold for $75.
The story of Heimerdinger, Corki, Tristana, Ziggs, and Rumble is the product of three years of hard labor. The game begins as Rumble invites all the others to enroll in his training school. However, things don’t go smoothly, and the four warriors are placed in a situation in which they must face an entire minion horde in order to save Runeterra, their homeland.
The League of Legends inspired board game was developed for both novices, and professionals and it combines the mature, convoluted modern side of board games with the old-fashion fun and satisfaction offered by the classic models.
Will you be one of the happy people fighting for the future of Runeterra?
