New leaked images show a significantly improved iPad Air 3. We are already in February and this implies that there are likely just two months until the next release event made by Apple, one where people expect to see a 4” iPhone 5se or the new iPad Air 3.
Given the interest that Samsung receives over its future Galaxy S7 fksghip, which people anticipate to be revealed at the company’s Unpacked event that will take place on Feb 21, there is of course a parallel discussion around Apple’s own predicted March gadgets.
While its iPhone 5SE with its 4” screen has been “leaked” numerous times, iPad Air 3 continues to be an inquisitive product. This week, there have been some images that are supposedly a simple preliminary illustration of these products.
While tech lovers would usually disregard such leaked details, now they are siding with the reliable sources when it comes to Apple’s gadgets. Obviously, the upcoming iPad will obviously sport a number of functions added by the recent iPad Pro: a modern sound system for some awesome sound effects and the smart connector placed on one side for the device’s own “smart” components.
This news is in line with the previous Pen support speculations and what is interesting is the other hole under the camera, which means that the iPad would lastly receive a useful LED flash. The Smart Connector is an important thing for the new tablet.
The slot was presented and only featured in Apple’s iPad Pro, being used to connect it to peripherals, especially to the Smart Keyboard. Even if the actual purpose of this type of pug on a more compact iPad is open for tech debates, we could see extra components making use of the function when the company presents the product next month.
Unfortunately, as it is the case with all modern devices, it brings a small disadvantage with these additional offerings. If the sizes detailed here are truly correct, then this indicates that the new iPad will be only 0.05mm thicker and just 0.1mm wider than the previous device.
Some people will remember that there were other minor variations between Apple’s iPhone 6s design and its iPhone 6 predecessor. The current soft cases made for iPad Air 2 could probably fit this new product without any problem.
However, other hard cases could scratch its frame over time, just like it was the situation with forcing older cases for the iPhone 6 on the latest iPhone 6s. Even more, the user will not want to block the tablet’s LED flash or the two additional speakers anyway.
