As most of you know, Nintendo plans on releasing its Splatoon game on May 29 and in order to give fans a small taste of what the game to come will be like (and probably to fix any remaining bugs) Nintendo decided that they would share a special demo, which will be called Global Testfire, with its loyal players.
If you sign up to this demo, you will be one of the players who will take part in a four-on-four Turf War simulation. Sweet as it may sound, the demo will last only one hour and will be programmed to take place at optimal time for global play.
If you are already thinking about ditching school or calling in sick for work, you can pause what you are doing and jump around in joy, because there will be more than one such demo available for players worldwide. The first demo will take place on the 8th of May from 8 to 9pm. Other opportunities for Nintendo fans to play the new game will be on May the 9th at 4-5am and also 12-1 pm.
The fact that the demo lasts only one hour shouldn`t be so bad since the game has only five stages through which you can play. However, Nintendo promises to add more levels, weapons, battle modes and equipment once the game receives its first grand update in August (you`ll also get two more matching options with this update).
To show you just how good this update will be, the Nintendo crew said that with this update, you`ll be able to create your own four-members team and target specific victims to destroy in battle. The Splatoon game will also host themed parties called Spaltfests.
During these Splatfests, (that you`ll probably attend since the game already sounds pretty addictive!) you will be asked random questions (things like if you like cats better than dogs) and if your responses appease the great Splatoon gods, you`ll receive a Super Sea Snail which is an awesome item that you can use to update some of your gear.
On the 20th of June, you`ll get your shot at winning a Super Sea Snail, since that`s when the first Splatfest will take place.
If you decide to participate at the Splatoon demo, you should know that besides of getting a heck of a fun, you`ll also receive a 10% discount at the future online purchase of the game, meaning you`ll be paying only $47.90 for the whole game!
