According to the news reports, North Korea seams to have suffered another internet shutdown. China’s News Agency Xinhua, reported that North Korea’s 3G mobile phone and Internet connection has been turned off again.
This just seams to be the beginning of a cybernetic war between the United States of America and North Korea. Reports have shown that the latest internet shut down might have come after North Korean representatives have brought a racist insult at president Barack Obama and accused the U.S. of being behind the internet blackouts that the country has been dealing with in the recent days.
A spokesman for North Korea’s National Defence Commission seams to have been told the official Korean Central News Agency, insulting words about the president of the United States:
“Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest.”
The name of the Korean official hasn’t been made public.
This entire situation started last week, when Obama administration accused North Korea for hacking Sony Pictures, in response of The Interview, a comedy which satirises and depicts a planned assassination of the North Korea leader, Kim Jong, by two American journalists.
North Korea was highly offended by the movie and blamed president Obama for he releasing of this dishonest and illegal movie. Even so, North Korea claims it has nothing to do with the Sony attack, which made public, movies yet to be released and private emails of the Sony executives. Even though the FBI has announced investigations and analysis have shown that North Korea was behind Sony’s cyber attack.
Last week president Barack Obama said that the United States will take measures against North Korea, U.S. officials have not made any comments whether americans have had any involvement in North Korea’s internet shut downs.
At first Sony Pictures stopped the releasing of the movie for the end of December, but now it seams to have changed its decision. The comedy, The Interview starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, has been released on Christmas Day, on a limited number of screens around the country and was also made available online for purchase and for digital rental.
The unknown North Korea commission representative has made yet another statement which shows whom is to blame for North Korea’s internet paralysis. He called America a big childish state whom is playing around and disturbing the internet connection of major institutions of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea without any shame.
