OFS Capital Corporation (OFS) shares fell in early trading Friday, even though the investment management company reported Q1 total investment income in line with the average consensus estimate of four analysts, according to Capital IQ.
Total investment income was $5 million, in line with the average analysts’ estimate.
Total investment income for the quarter increased to $5 million from $4.4 million in the same period the previous year. Total assets as of March 31, 2014 were $272.6 million while the investment portfolio was $228 million. Net assets as of March 31, 2014 was $139.2 million, and the net asset value per share was $14.45.
Shares are down 0.9% at $12.35 with a 52-week range of $11.05 – $13.61.
The company reported Q1 net investment income of $1.4 million, or $0.15 per share, compared with the prior-year period’s $1.44 million or $0.14 per share. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $0.18.
The company also said its board of directors declared a Q2 distribution of $0.34 per share, payable June 30, 2014 to shareholders of record as of June 16, 2014. This is maintained from the previous distribution, which was paid Feb. 14, 2014.
