The Sony Xperia Z3 might have been announced and confirmed exclusively for T-Mobile; however, as per a PCMag report, Verizon too is all set for this phone. Chances are that it may at least get Xperia Z3v, its variant.
Since last few years, Sony doesn’t have a very good rapport with U.S carriers. The first smartphones of the Xperia range were available on AT&T for some period time and Verizon Wireless sadly picked up the Xperia Play in the year 2011. After that, Sony Smartphones through U.S. carriers were rarely seen until the release of Z series on T-Mobile was seen. For Sony, things haven’t got much better, but changes might be seen this year.
Xperia Z3 has a lot in common with Xperia Z2, its predecessor, but there are enough new points to get excited. To begin with, it is the first phone that has a support for PS4 Remote Play. It has impressive camera enhancements and a refined design. Many people may want this phone from Sony since a while, and now it is readily available.
While there is no official confirmation of the Verizon Wireless release, there are rumors that the phone may come to Sprint too. If this phone manages to find a home on these 3 major U.S carriers, it would be considered to be a big win for Sony and it will be the biggest release of an Xperia Smartphone for the country.
Meanwhile, Sony has release Xperia Z3 Compact at IFA being held in Berlin. Most of Z3 Compact features are same to its counterpart. The smartphone is expected to follow the foot steps of Xperia Z3 and may also release on Verizon.
