For Audi, expectations to succeed last two years’ success were high. At the 2013 CES, the company introduced the acclaimed self-driving technology that allowed cars to park by themselves.
In 2015 Audi car company has made it clear to car fans that this year is a defining moment in car design and manufacturing.
This year, Audi has made quite a show as it one more time delivered to the public its ultra-smart cars with cutting edge technology. Audi’s Q7 vehicles were equipped with virtual cockpits, self-drive systems and LG manufactured smart watches that can automatically turn the motor on.
The executive President of electronic development at Audi, Ricky Hudi, has stated during this year’s CES that: “We all know that cars are turning more and more into mobile communication centers”.
Audi showcased its Q7 concept model that operates on a virtual cockpit facilitated by an platform by Android. Commands that come with features like Google Earth, street view, cloud services, high speed LED, and also powerful audio gadgets, can be all operated by voice. These features enable the car to increase its knowledge as the permanently connected cloud can inform the driver of the latest updated on the vehicle and on its environment. Representatives from Audi claim the Q7 is the first ever created car that has such amazing characteristics.
The car also features a stunning entertainment system. Passengers in the back can operate as they travel along two tablets equipped with Android operating systems. These two gizmos feature endless amounts of music, video, movies as well as information about the vehicle and its whereabouts.
The new Audi car also features brand new graphics technology. As Scott Keogh said, the newly designed video chips provide the driver and the passengers with the best quality graphics, which is as much useful as it is cool looking.
Experts at the car company expect the Q7 will be made available to the public in the not so distant future. Hopes are up as the Audi Q7 is the first car to ever accomplish a drive of 560 miles on its own. The vehicle drove from Silicon Valley to the Consumer Electronics Show which is taking place from the 6th through the 9th of January in Las Vegas.
