A larger, 12.9 inch version of the iPad would be launched by Apple in the year 2015, as per a report by Bloomberg. The production for this new device would start in the 1st quarter of next year.
As per the report of Bloomberg, people with knowledge of the matter are cited, who asked the publication not to be named because the details are not yet public. This news is spread as Apple continues dealing with declining sales of its 7.9 and 10 inch tablets. These are not being sold well and iPads are being replaced by people as quickly as expected. Sales are to some extent also being hurt by larger smartphones that are made by rivals like Samsung.
Currently, this Cupertino-California based company is making iPads with 7.9inch and 9.7inch displays. Jitesh Ubrani, an analyst at researcher IDC, told Bloomberg that they have expectations of larger tablets doing better.
A special media event has been scheduled by Apple on the 9th of September and it is expected by most of the analysts that the new iPhone with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens. Both would obviously be bigger as compared to the 4 inch screens that are found on iPhone 5c and 5s.
The mass production of these devices was seen in July and a no. of media outlets expect the release date to be the 19th of September. The rumored specifications for the next iPhone includes a faster A8 processor, 1704 x 960 pixel resolution, camera upgrades, sapphire screen and a durable one. Nothing has been confirmed officially by Apple with regards to plans for its next iPad and iPhone to the public yet.
