This shooting happened at 1 a.m. the Spot on Northwest 64th Street at Seventh Avenue. When the fire rescue and police arrived, all they found was ‘Chaos’, said Ignatius Carroll, the Miami Fire Rescue Capt.
Lot of people were there outside. Some of them were assisting their friends who were shot. The shooting, in which around a dozen of people were sent to the hospital is being investigated by the Miami police. A spokeswoman for Miami Police Department, Frederica Burden, says that investigators are making efforts for determining who was inside, the reason of shooting as well as the number of shooters inside. Everyone has been baffled by this, she said.
There is no clarity about the number of people who were inside that time and why there were teenagers and children inside the club.
Carroll stated that 7 victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital by the fire-rescue , some with leg, hip and other non-life threatening injuries. One victim wasn’t able to breathe. Other victims went to the hospital on their own. Burden said that investigators are talking to witnesses and trying to sort out what happened.
She said that “People were scrambling to get out and we have a lot of victims. There are a lot of people to talk to.”
