Here is a good news for all the gaming aficionados. Tech giant Microsoft has slashed the price of its Xbox One console as a Christmas gift during the holiday season in the US.
The US arm of Microsoft has announced the limited period reduction of prices of the Xbox One gaming consoles between November 2 and January 3.
The company is giving USD 50 off as the Christmas holiday promotional offer on any Xbox One console or bundle. Those interested in buying one can avail them at the major national retailers across the United States including online e-retailer sites like Microsoft Store, Walmart, Toys ‘R Us, Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy and Target.
Under the deal, you can get the white Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle, launched today for USD 349. You can also get the Assassin’s Creed Unity bundles with Kinect (USD 449) and without Kinect (USD 349) that would be available from November 2.
On the other hand, a Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Xbox One bundle will be launched on November 3. It will include a custom console, controller, a 1TB hard drive and a digital copy of the game for USD 449.
“Fans don’t have to wait for Black Friday this year to enjoy great savings on Xbox One. We are offering our best price yet, with unprecedented choices and value, so more people can play on Xbox One this holiday,” Microsoft corporate vice president Yusuf Mehdi said while adding, “We are all set for one of our biggest holidays ever and we are thrilled to offer fans up to USD 150 in savings on Xbox One and some of the biggest blockbuster games of the season.”
When asked about any similar Xbox One price promotional offer for the UK market, a Microsoft spokesperson said, “All the decisions regarding pricing and promotional strategies are made at a local level and based on market context.”
“We have nothing more to announce at this time,” the spokesperson added.
This is not for the first time when Microsoft has cut the rates of Xbox One. The gaming console has received a number of reductions in its prices since its launch in November 2013. The last price reduction in global market was one in June this year, when the company released an Xbox One bundle without Kinect for the first time.
