Hundreds and thousands of Americans will throng the streets of the New York City on Sunday to participate in a peaceful planet-saving march in support of an economy that favors creations of clean air and a world free of climate change.

The major aim of the campaign is to create awareness among the people on climate change, rising levels of carbon emissions, global warming and factors behind the environmental imbalances. The event also calls for an effective and sustainable climate policy.

It will also see the participation of several environment lovers and climatologists ranging from political personalities, celebs and dignitaries including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, actors Mark Ruffalo and Russell Brand and musician Jason Mraz. Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio will also aware people about factors causes rising seas.
During the UN climate summit, the environmentalists and climatologists and other pocket of the society are hopeful of recapturing the momentum that was lost after the 2009 Copenhagen climate summit turned full of disappointment when the world leaders left the meet without a binding treaty.
