One of the most anticipated products of this year (besides iPhone 6, of course) is the iPad Air 2. Apple has been keeping us on the edge of our seat not disclosing too many details about the specifications of their new “baby”. There have been plenty of rumors circling the iPad Air 2 and one of it is that it will show its face to the world on October 21. That’s when the official release event will take place, some say. The latest rumors are quite enticing. Some believe that the new iPad Air 2 will be come in gold color, or at least one of the models will be gold. Imagining a gold iPad is quite a pleasant image actually and we really hope this rumor will be confirmed later on.
The rumors focus mainly on the 9.7in iPad Air, leaving us wondering about the new version of iPad Mini. The new gold iPad Air 2 will match the lovely palette of the iPhone 5, which features shades of gray (Space Gray), Gold and Silver.
There are rumors saying that the iPad Air 2 will feature a Touch ID finger print sensor, will be 1mm thinner that its brother, the iPad Air. Another different feature will be the speakers: the iPad Air 2 will supposedly have bigger speaker grills.
There are speculations regarding what processor will Apple use for their new iPad. Some believe they will use the Apple A8X on the iPad Air 2 and will give it 2GB of RAM. Also, the iPad Air 2 is said to have a split screen feature, something which we’re really looking forward to see or find out more about.
The new iPad Air 2 is expected to have a 12.9 in version and it could be released somewhere in the first part of 2015. It could coincide with the release of the new Apple Watch, who can say?
The new iPad Air 2 is not the only product Apple is preparing to launch. Recently, there have been rumors about a release date of their new iOS X Yosemite, expected to be unveiled in October. Will it be this week or next week? We’ll let you know as soon as we find out.
