Plenty of tech lovers have been waiting the Apple October 16 event ever since Apple announced their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. So basically, the fuss over the new iPhones hasn’t even cooled down that Apple throws us some other bones to chew one. At the Apple October 16 event we didn’t get only one new product. Or two. We got four: the new iPad Air 2, the iPad Mini 3, the Retina iMac and the OS X Yosemite operating system for Macs. Let’s talk a little about each and every product and see what features they tempt us with.
The new iPad Air 2 is thinner than its predecessor, 18% thinner to be exact. Apple said that it slimmed it down so that there won’t be any annoying reflections when you try to look at the iPad in sunny conditions. The new iPad Air 2 is features the new Touch ID sensor, the same as the one on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This new sensor allows its users to make online purchases easier, it the stores they are buying have Apple Pay, of course. The iPad Air 2 costs $499 (16GB), $599 (64GB) and $699 (128GB).
At the Apple October 16 event we got a glimpse of the new iPad Mini 3 as well. This new iPad Mini looks very much like the iPad Mini 2, except that the new one has Touch ID sensor installed on it. The sizes are the same and the resolution is the same. The battery life lasts 10 hours and the new iPad mini 3 costs $399, $499 and $599 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.
The Apple October 16 event revealed the new 27 inch Retina iMac that costs $2,499 and is available to order from the Apple Mac Store. Another pleasant surprise at the Apple October 16 even was the revealing of the new OS X Yosemite operating system which comes with a new look and a more colorful and clearer screen.
