Facebook launches its new messaging ads feature and it its users see an increase in the number of companies that are asking them to send a message, it could be linked to a recent marketing program arriving in the next weeks.
According to several leaked papers seen by a few sources, Facebook’s strategy is to allow organizations to deliver message-based advertisements to clients, but only if the customer was the one who has started a discussion with that firm.
It has long been believed that advertisements would arrive to Messenger these months and the released docs specify that period is the summer of 2016. For example, if people email an organization on Facebook regarding a service support issue, that business may be allowed to send them future information about special offers or new products in their stock.
In these leaked docs, Facebook allegedly tells firms to have people start messaging them now, so those companies can be prepared to promote their products when the function comes out. It is uncertain whether Facebook wants to inform clients that they have successfully registered for message advertisements or if they will be able to get out of the service.
The company did not opinion offer an official opinion to tech media on these leaked papers itself, but affirmed that its goal with the Messenger feature is to bring a top quality, interesting experience for its huge user base around the glove.
This strategy includes guaranteeing individuals that they do not encounter undesirable information in any form. As experts have already noticed, Facebook’s staff has ignored the concept of advertisements in Messenger at the beginning of 2014, when the company purchased obtained the texting app WhatsApp.
The new ad service could be great for every part involved if it is done the right way, informing loyal clients about selling products, for instance. However, it could jeopardize their activity if companies somehow misuse the function and people are expecting Facebook to bring control options for people in order to keep junk out.
In addition, the company a confirmed the presence of the URL short web link that lets customers to start discussions with companies right away. The links are now offered for all web pages, and customers can access them at fb.com/msg. According to these leaked papers acquired by tech media, if companies reply to 90 percent of these messages in one day, these URLs will be retrieveable on Facebook.
