Intel (INTC) provided processors for a new Surface tablet from Microsoft (MSFT) that will be unveiled at a Microsoft event later this month, Cnet reported.
Cnet reported its sources said the new Intel-based Surface would have new power-optimized Haswell variant.
The new Intel-based Surface will not be a smaller or mini-Surface model, according to Cnet’s sources. The existing Surface Pro line already uses Intel processors.
In afternoon trade, INTC was down 0.34% to $26.25.
