If you’re into eco cars, we have great news for you. A new Tesla electric car has just been announced and it’s called Tesla P85D. The luxury car manufacturer has revealed the new model and it’s an all-wheel-drive car with two motors – one motor will power the front wheels and the second one will motor the rear wheels. The new Tesla electric car has been announced in front of 1,000 people by Elon Musk, the company’s CEO, explaining that although the usual all-wheel-drive cars that run on gas are heavier and less efficient, the new Tesla electric car is faster, lighter and more efficient.
The new Tesla electric car called P85D has a dual motor and it’s different than the previous model called Model S, which only had one motor and a rear wheel drive. The P85D model sedan reaches a top speed of 250 km/hour, making it faster than the previous Tesla car which reached only 210 km/hour. The new Tesla electric car can accelerate from 0-6 miles/h in only 3 seconds. The Tesla representative commented that “This car is nuts. It’s like taking off from a carrier deck.”
The new Tesla electric car is also safer than the previous models, updated with a new auto pilot system that can sense when there is traffic and the driver can activate the turn signal, making the car to move over a lane. The new Tesla electric car features cameras which were designed to read speed limit signs and slow down the car automatically to avoid any speed tickets. Musk said that all these new features do not make the car drive by itself but it helps the driver be more careful while driving.
Some experts in self-driving cars said that the new auto-pilot features are quite impressive but they question the limitations and the car’s performance in different weather and road conditions.
The new Tesla electric car – price and availability.
The new Tesla electric car called Tesla P85D costs $120,000 and is available for sale on the Tesla official site. The cars will be delivered in December to the new owners.
