Nintendo is developing new gaming consoles and VR devices. The company suggested that it may become a new player in the increasing virtual reality market in the near future, but did not provide particular information regarding this radical move.
The Japanese firm, which is getting ready to release a new mobile phone game along with a better NX system, appears to now change its position on VR after its latest briefing with owners where they have discussed the recent product strategies.
While the news confirms that the organization’s phone application rollout is going well, other details about the possible virtual reality project are still unclear, according to market specialist who have analyzed this problem.
During the first months of last year, Nintendo declared that would launch a series of five games for cellular users before the spring of 2017. The organized launch news came after their new established collaboration with DeNA, a venture that owns and develops various cellular game programs.
In a very competitive market, the organization craves more ammunition to go against its powerful adversaries. Nintendo recently published its financial report presenting the last quarter of 2015. The firm has shown a fall on all net earnings by almost 35 percent to $240 million on revenues reaching around $1.75 billion dollars.
Within this period, Nintendo documented sales of more than 1.8 million gaming consoles, which is a tad lower in comparison to the same interval of the prior year. Experts think that the fall in the organization’s earnings could be related to the Wii U console’s poor headlines, which were unsuccessful in attracting the hoped interest during 2015’s holiday season.
The company is also getting ready to formally reveal its next game playing system, which holds the codename Nintendo NX and is scheduled to be shown at the future E3 event taking place this summer. Presented as a premium gaming system, Nintendo guarantees that its device will provide something exclusive and more attractive.
But, it is still not certain exactly when the new product will be offered in stores during the next months. Other Nintendo NX speculations talk about interesting specifications for the gaming system, but it is very surprising to find out that the producer has some virtual reality goals as well.
Based on rumors saying that our global VR market will get over $125 billion, it is quite easy to understand why many organizations are now moving their attention towards virtual reality tech innovations. Besides Nintendo, the giant Apple also declared that it is currently developing its own devices for the virtual world.
