Curtis Jackson had found SMS Audio which is an accessories and audio headphone brand. This partnership plans to challenge the partnership between Beats Electronics and Apple. Recently, the acquisition of the audio technology company was closed for a sum of $3 billion the portfolio of Beats’ streaming services, speakers and headphones was brought to Apple.
In addition to this acquisition, the co-founders of Beats, Jimmy Lovine, music mogul and Dr. Dre, the rapper legend have also joined Apple for providing a fresh perspective and a unique voice to the company’s music division.
The main focus of this partnership would be on the SMS Audio BioSport In-Ear Headphones, through which a smart exercise options would be brought for all types of athletes.
Talking about the BioSport earbuds, they would have a combination of fitness and modern technology and the latest in biometric technology will be utilized in order to monitor fitness with high quality audio capabilities and style.
With the collaboration between Intel and SMS Audio, the capability of bringing smart exercise to consumers is elevated. Michael Bell, the General manager of New Devices Group and vice president of Intel corporate expressed his excitement over the partnership of the company with this lifestyle brand.
With SMS Audio, smart headphones would be brought into the market through which inconvenience of add-on devices would be eliminated with a one-device, integrated fitness accessory that offers premier sound quality and high-end style.
These earbuds would feature integrated biometric sensors within the structure of the device, thus giving capability to athletes for collecting data on workouts. The heart rate of the wearer would be measured by these sensors and it would be sent to the heart rate monitor which is located in the device.
