Following fans’ demand, Taco Bell decided to revive its hugely popular Beefy Crunch Burrito at 30 locations in Chattanooga,TN, this month. The burger chain also announced that it plans to make the $1 burrito a permanent item on the menu if the test in Chattanooga goes as planned.
In addition, Taco Bell plans to diversify its $1 value menu with Triple Melt Nachos and Triple Melt Burritos nationwide starting Apr. 5. Sources familiar with the matter said that the company is testing two other $1 menu items: the Beefy Crunch Burrito and the Crispy Chicken Taco in Oklahoma City and Chattanooga respectively.
But Taco Bell’s die-hard fans will be over thrilled with the Beefy Crunch Burrito news since they have been pushing hard for the revival of the $1 burrito on the social media since 2011.
Beefy Crunch Burrito Has a Passionate Community of Burrito Lovers
The $1 menu addition has over 68,000 likes on the fast food chain’s Facebook page, and there is even a Beefy Crunch “movement.” Taco Bell informed the movement about the decision before it made an official announcement.
You truly are the most passionate and dedicated community of burrito lovers a brand could ever ask for,
the burrito chain told Beefy Crunch fans.
The company also said that bringing back the item would not be an easy task since it will first need to “test a solution” to make it a permanent menu item starting next year. The Beefy Crunch burrito will be tested in 30 outlets in Chattanooga from Apr. 4 to July.
It is not the first time Taco Bell engages with the burrito’s fans. In 2017, the company’s international president Melissa Lora unveiled that the company “loves it” when people love a particular product. At the time, Lora pledged to listen to their feedback and respond.
