About 31,689 pounds of gluten-free breaded chicken products have been recalled by Murry’s Inc. on fears of contamination with staphylococcal enterotoxin.

According to the reports, the issued recall order includes 10.5-ounce boxes of BehjuY76ll & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast and 12-ounce boxes of Bell & Evans Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets, both bearing best-by date of August 9, 2015.

The chicken products may be contaminated with the foodborne illnesses causing Staphylococcal bacteria.

The reports also showed that both the items possessed a P-516 establishment number inside the US Department of Agriculture mark of inspection.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture uncovered the incidences of potential contamination while carrying out an inspection and sampling program at a Federal Emergency Response Network lab.

Health experts highlight vomiting, nausea, stomach cramps and diarrhea as some of the main symptoms of illness from Staphylococcal food poisoning, which causes a gastrointestinal illness in about less than 30 minutes following ingestion.

Staphylococcal toxins act fast and can cause illness within 30 minutes of exposure,

The researchers at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the Staphylococcal bacteria secretes toxins that can act fast and can cause foodborne illness within 30 minutes of exposure.

The symptoms start emerging between one to six hours following the consumption of the contaminated food.

Meanwhile, the USDA has confirmed that there have been no reported case of illness since the recall was issued on Saturday.
