The Huawei Honor 5X is now available in the US for just $200. Huawei’s Honor representatives did say last year that its initial US cell phone could be launched in North America in 2016. Now it seems like this Chinese giant has kept its promise made in 2015, launching the new Honor 5X for the US.
The pre-ordering for the latest model started at 3:00 PM on Jan 31 and the gadget will be offered from Feb 1 late night on Amazon. A revolution took place in the mid-range phone industry in 2015, showing us that there is a significant value in cost-conscious gadgets.
Huawei particularly came in this competitive market with its affordable version of P8 Lite, at only $250, this being a “lighter” form of its premium Huawei P8 smart phone. The Honor 5X model has a spacious 5.5” FullHD LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels.
Overall, this is not a bad feature for a mid-range smart phone that has an extremely affordable price of just $200 with no contract obligations. A great function of the device is the usage of the Android Lollipop 5.1 as its operating system.
That is a thick-skinned user interface, compared with the Google Nexus 5X and its bare boned Android UX. In addition to it, SIM plugs or alternatives will likely not be needed, as all Honor’s 5X phones come built with micro-SIM and nano-SIM slots which can work with 4G data.
Under its aluminum case, the plastic chassis of this recent gadget looks similar to those seen on many Android smart phones and there you have a few colors to choose from: gold, silver and white. These devices offer the best features in their class at an affordable price, which makes the Honor 5X a top competitor in this category.
This cell phone has a storage space of 16 GB that can be expanded up to 128 GB, with the addition of a microSD card. The gadget is powered by the large 3,000-mAh capavity of its battery and is operated by a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 616 chipset with 2 GB of RAM.
When it come to taking photo, the Honor 5X features a 13MP primary digicam with LED flash assisted by an autofocus sensor, while on the front it has a 5MP camera ideal for selfies and video calls. The device provides a fingerprint option on the top, with an alleged unlocking time of just 0.5 seconds.
Huawei’s Honor 5X has modern connectivity functions such as Bluetooth for device pairing, USB ports for data transfer and power charging, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GPS or 4G LTE mobile bands like TDD and FDD. It packs a top quality metal build, next-gen fingerprint indicator and inspired-style for a unique tech experience.
These great features are all coming at a rather cheap price, since Huawei has released its Honor 5X model in the United States for just $200 off-contract. The company’s officials have declared that they are grateful to their users for their ongoing support, so they will try to improve and offer outstanding products.
